ucla is in the final four

Maybe I stayed at USC for too short a time (2 years) so I don’t hate the Bruins as much as some of the die-hard Trojans do. But I am actually happy that the Bruins made it to the Final Four! If USC is not in the tournament, my next level of support goes regional, and first for the other LA team and then for the conference. So in either case, ucla becomes the next favorite.

Washington should have beaten UConn. But I am not so sad that they did not, because I had UConn in my bracket going to the Final Four 🙂

Anyway, I am not a big fan of college basketball as such. But nowadays you cannot escape it, so I got involved a bit.

  1. You get a free pass on this one. If you had been at USC for 4 years there would be no way you could justify supporting the Bruins – even if they are playing the much hated LSU Tigers. It just can’t happen. UCLA Sucks!! I want LSU to beat them so bad I can taste it. LSU then needs to lose so that we don’t have to hear from the ‘corndogs’ for the next 3 years. They were unbearable enough when they split a NC with USC in 2004 could you imagine what they would be like if they won one outright?

I agree that Pac-10 respect comes next after USC-love but not if that Pac-10 team is UCLA. It just can’t happen. UCLA Sucks!! I want LSU to beat them so bad I can taste it – and it tastes like sweet humiliation. LSU then needs to lose so that we don’t have to hear from the ‘corndogs’ on every football board for the next 3 years. They were unbearable enough when they split a football NC with USC in 2004 could you imagine what they would be like if they won one outright?

@Mr. W: You know what is ironic? The same two (or 2 out of 3) teams which had pulled together and cheered the pathetic billboard near USC are now facing off … I do not want either of them to win ;-)And you are right, if I had been at USC longer, I would have learned to hate the Bruins. Today, I don’t hate them unless of course they are playing against USC, or if they resort to bragging about themselves!
