Yes, had a brief moment of blog fatigue. It is unusual, when I work from home, I hardly ever find time to blog. But now I am in the office and found some time to post this entry!
Signed up for Google Spreadsheet this morning and already started sharing a couple of spreadsheets with the wife. I think it works quite alright as a ‘list’ program. I have not tried to push it to the limit. We are in the process of creating a few lists and we even did a ‘chat while you edit’ thingy earlier this afternoon and it worked quite well.
Have started listening to only Pink Floyd albums (they have pretty much the entire shabang) on Yahoo Music Unlimited and I thought I might as well use the subscription! 🙂 Wonderful – focussed on Delicate Sound of Thunder today. Will switch to Piper At The Gates of Dawn tomorrow.
Productivity therefore is at a high! 🙂
i am playing with google spreadsheet too. But stuggling to find use of it. Can’t use it for work stuff. And for home, there is no motivation to share online. Can I SMS my daily expenses to the spreadsheet while i am travelling? Then I am all for this!
@samir: Wow! You just gave them a good idea :-)Like I said, I use it for lists more than for “calculations”. Capability to share it with the wife helps and we were even able to chat while I was entering some stuff … Certainly not an Excel killer. No way.
wow listening to Floyd, I’m yet to come out of the Pearl Jam fever 😉 But can listen to Floyd anyday anytime.
@rajesh: switched to Queen this evening. It is so tempting to keep switching because you could practically listen to any song you want. I also like the ‘Play Album’ thing, because that is exactly how Floyd is supposed to be heard – no shuffle, no random, nothing. Album from track 1 to the end 🙂
The problem with having doc up in the web means that now you have to worry about what is share-able and what is not. Who knows who can hack into your account and see your stuff.. so I am not to thrilled about this yet.
@samir: what if someone hacks into your amazon account or ebay account? How is this different? Of course, I understand what you are saying, and even now, instead of names, we have put initials, so if someone does get to it, they may not be able to make much sense of it.

OK c’on if I have credit card details at amazon account that does not justify to put more personal details everywhere! The point i am making is that while creating docs on my PC I generally don’t worry about “what if someone reads it”. The way you are trying to be conscious in putting initials, I may not stretch myself to do that. If they are somewhere uploaded, I do have to worry about it.
@samir: my point was simply that we are putting a lot of important information in merchants’ hands and even though it is not the same as opening up say household expenses or something like that, it is still one huge step in opening our lives up to someone else.Soon, we will get to a point where we will be quite comfortable putting all our information on google’s servers simply because we don’t want to lug our hard drives along with us all the time 🙂
