That fumble towards the end of the 4th quarter after having secured the first down was pathetic. Nebraska had no business to lose that game.
Of course I am rooting for Nebraska and Arkansas, the two out of conference teams USC has played and beaten so far.
By the way, what’s the deal with Wazzu? They beat Oregon? I guess that question should be what happened to Oregon??
Washington came close to causing another upset in the Pac-10 by tying the game and sending it to overtime with the Hail Mary.
I guess it shows that Pac-10 is not a sissy conference, really. Or does it?
i have to strongly disagree with the title of this post. nebraska while i was rooting for them had a chance to run out the clock and could not do it. then they had a chance to prevent texas from getting into position for a field goal in horrible conditions and could not do so. texas deserved to win
@katie: Maybe I was not clear, or you did not get my point. What I am trying to say is that Nebraska had the game in their pocket but a simple fumble cost them ball possession and led to a Texas game-winning field goal.If the receiver had just held on to the ball, it would have meant a first down, and 3 more attempts to kill the clock. But that was not meant to be.
