Fox News Channel admits fake story about Kerry!

Even though it was meant to be a joke/spoof, it came on as a news article, and I am not sure an apology works well in this situation.

But what will? The damage has been done. The Republican supporters are pretty good at throwing random stuff without checking if it is really true or not, and then apologizing (sometimes). How can this be stopped?
