Malaysian F-1 GP
#I loved the race, though it was not as exciting as it should have been. Why? Because I did not tape the live version, because of cricket match. And I did tape the delayed version, but by then I forgot about it and saw the sports headlines and the fact that Alonso had won.
Renault, as I have said before, is a strong contendor for the title this year. I think both the drivers rock solid and they would have finished 1 and 3 if Fisi had controlled his car when Webber tried to pass him.
As for Ferrari, and Schumey, well, life is tough. They better get the new car out fast, and come up with a good strategy for the races, or else, they can say bye bye to their title hopes.
I think this year is going to be awesome because I would love to see how Ferrari performs under pressure. Last few years, they’ve had no realistic pressure. Yes, there was Hakkinen and there was Kimi, but come on…for the constructor’s championship, it was a cakewalk.
This year is going to be tough. And I love that! And of course, I would love for Ferrari to show what they are made of and make a climb up.
Meanwhile, the team to beat is Renault. And what about Toyota? Wow. From nowhere last year, to something spectacular and almost unexpected this year already - #2 and #5! I had mentioned the Toyotas in the same article linked above. Trulli is a superb driver and Ralf is not bad either. So I think that team is also going to show that they are up there.
Meanwhile, BAR Honda is going to be the biggest disappointment of this year. From what they achieved last year, to what they will end up with this year, is going to be a sad story. It is about time Button falls back to earth.
And as a sidenote, another finish for Karthikeyan. Good work. If he has less than 5 DNF’s this year, I would consider it a big deal.
