Congratulations, Fernando Alonso. You have done it. They call Kimi the Ice Man, but I think you are cool too. The pressure of winning it all could otherwise have got to you. But you did not let that come in the way. You calmly came across third, which was just enough for you to clinch it.

It’s been a fantastic season for you. Your car was reliable in pretty much every race and that let you collect crucial points while others crashed out or did not finish races. Ultimately, those points created enough cushion for you to win it two races before the end of the season.

Kimi, sorry. It is certainly not your fault. McLaren only have themselves to blame. Hopefully next year will be much better.

Of course, the next two races are now important for the constructors' championship and I hope McLaren clinches it.
