If Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb can, why not Ganguly and Chappell

#

The way T.O. and McNabb were going in the sprint and pre-season, it seemed like they could never play on the same team. What happened in the end? They played a game or two without talking to each other, and then T.O. said he can talk about ‘business’ only and they are still on the same team and if both are healthy at the same time, they can cause serious damage the opposing teams.

If former roommates can split big time and still be able to play on the same team, why can’t Saurav Ganguly and Greg Chappell? After all, they don’t have to play together. They have to plan together and work together, but on the field, it is all Ganguly.

Right?

In theory, yes.

But we are talking about India and Indian cricket. The media is passionate about each and every move they make. They are hunting for stories and scoops. If they do end up working well together, the media will portray it as a ‘step down for Ganguly’ and a ‘win for Chappell’. After all, the media hates Ganguly.

But I personally think that as long as there is no personal ego involved, the two should be able to work together.

And please, drop that joker called Harbajan. Its about time. There is even an excuse now.
