I watched the entire Indian innings (so far) and they are playing as good as I have seen them play in quite a long while. Remember, the past few series, I have not been able to watch them play truly because in most of the games they have been chasing and I would be sleeping by then.

In any case, what I don’t understand is why Flintoff brought Mahmood on for 2 overs in the end, when he had Anderson’s overs remaining. Mahmood was not bowling well, he was cramping and Anderson bowled extremely well earlier and had overs to bowl. The only thing that can explain it would be the extreme heat which essentially makes bowling more than 2 overs in a spell difficult. I doubt it though.

In any case, Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina have once again provided the (what has now become the usual) fantastic middle order build up of innings and may have taken India to a position of not losing from here.

Sehwag failed again and Kaif failed again. Do I hear Ganguly and VVS shouting?
