My first time to these places. I was surprised to see the night life there. Of course, I had anticipated it, because of the stories heard about the place. But to experience it first hand, it was quite amazing.
Miami never sleeps, or so it seemed. A comparison was made to Vegas. But I think Vegas has an older crowd and a different mindset. People in Vegas have a different agenda than the people in Miami. And that’s why I liked Miami better.
In fact, Key West, where the southernmost tip of the continental USA is, is probably even better than South Beach. I loved the life there. Don’t know if I can live there and survive there, but for a vacation, if given a choice between Miami, Vegas and Key West, I would definitely choose Key West. It is smaller, but cooler. :-)
Just take away the rain, and the traffic on Route 1. ;-)
You have to see it in real life to believe it!
Its Tuesday, July 6th, 2004 and it is time to get out of the vacation mood and swing back into work mode. Sigh. But this is a short week too! Looking forward to a nice and relaxing weekend…
Long long weekend (taken the Friday off) in Miami and Key West planned. Was quite pumped up about the trip. First time for me. First time for my wife.
But after the li’l one’s situation, our minds and hearts will be here. Hopefully she will continue to improve and get her health back in order. Our prayers are continuously with her. Hope it is just a minor, temporary thing. Hope.
We debated if we should stay back and not go this weekend. But it seems that the baby has to be in the hospital till Tuesday in any case. Plus there is some help around, so it should be ok for the weekend.
Cell phones are a wonderful thing. Hopefully we will use them only to exchange ‘I love you, sister’ calls … Mojito, anyone? ;-)
